Professional Experience: 

Mr. Roland is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, and serving as Delaware counsel in class action litigation. He has successfully represented a variety of clients in high-stakes disputes before all Delaware state and federal trial courts.

In his construction litigation practice, Mr. Roland handles a broad range of disputes representing contractors, individuals, and homeowners associations.  He has successfully represented several large condominium homeowners associations in actions against the communities' builders, developers, and contractors for defective construction.

As Delaware counsel in class action litigation, he works collaboratively with national law firms to ensure compliance with Delaware procedural requirements while helping clients efficiently advance complex, multi-party litigation. Most recently, he helped secure a favorable settlement for plaintiffs in litigation arising from a data breach at Bayhealth, demonstrating his ability to achieve meaningful results in complex, high-profile matters. 

Prior to joining Cooch and Taylor, Mr. Roland served as an intern for the Honorable Paul R. Wallace at the Delaware Superior Court and for the Honorable Robert H. Surles at the Delaware Court of Common Pleas.  Prior to beginning law school, Mr. Roland served as a team captain on the University of North Carolina Asheville’s Division I Baseball Team.
