Professional Experience

Ms. Copeland practices primarily in the area of family law, working closely with individuals to help them resolve personal legal issues including:

  • divorce, property division, alimony
  • custody, visitation, child support
  • premarital agreements and separation agreements
  • guardianship, termination of parental rights, and adoption
  • protection from abuse 

Ms. Copeland understands that family law matters are often complex and sensitive. Each family has unique circumstances and Ms. Copeland guides her clients through the process by explaining the range of options so that they may make the right decision for themselves and their family. In addition, Ms. Copeland’s clients benefit from her financial and analytical background and her experience representing clients in a range of employment and general business litigation matters, including wage claims, discrimination, and contract disputes.

Prior to joining Cooch and Taylor, Ms. Copeland served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Chandlee Johnson Kuhn of the Family Court of the State of Delaware and also served a one-year clerkship for the Honorable Arlene Minus Coppadge and the Honorable Robert Coonin of the Family Court. During law school, Ms. Copeland was a Wolcott law clerk for theHonorable Randy J. Holland, Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
